Our Education Foundation
Practicing the Pillars
During the year we cover the Pillars of Character, this year we are also talking about the Habits of Mind: The Habits of Mind are an identified set of 16 problem solving, life related skills, necessary to effectively operate in society and promote strategic reasoning, insightfulness, perseverance, creativity and craftsmanship. The understanding and application of these 16 Habits of Mind serve to provide the individual with skills to work through real life situations that equip that person to respond using awareness (cues), thought, and intentional strategy in order to gain a positive outcome.
Ask your child about how they are demonstrating these traits!

Upcoming Workshop Will Ask Community Members for Feedback on Specific Roadway Options
The Belmont-Redwood Shores School District, in collaboration with the City of Belmont, will host a public workshop to share proposed improvements to the intersection at Tahoe Drive and Ralston Avenue and along Ralston Middle School. Potential improvements are intended to ease traffic congestion during school drop-off and pick-up, improve pedestrian walkways, and enhance public safety through signalization and signage. All community members are invited and encouraged to participate!
